About Kathy
An award-winning fine art photographer and visual artist, Kathy’s work has been exhibited at the prestigious Palm Springs Museum of Art, Directors Guild of America (Hollywood), Patricia Corriea Gallery (Santa Monica), David Lawrence Gallery (Beverly Hills), Gallery 825/LA Art Association, Barnsdall Municipal Art Gallery (LA), Hubbard Museum (Ruidoso, NM), Runnels Gallery (NM), Rosenthal Gallery (NM), University of Southern California History Department, Museum of Anthropology at Cal State Chico, Carol Behrman Gallery (LA), Hollywood Digital Studios, Studio 525 (LA), Thames Gallery (Memphis, TN), the CA State Capitol, Tartt Gallery (Washington, DC), San Bernardino Museum of Fine Art, and numerous galleries and public spaces in Southern California. She’s represented by Artspresso Art Gallery in Idyllwild, CA, and was named “Artist of the Year, 2012” by the Art Alliance of Idyllwild.
Her award-winning work has been recognized by the Public Relations Society of America and the Media Access Awards. She has won “Best of Show” at the Museum of Anthropology; 7 Blue Ribbons (17 ribbons total) in the Art Alliance of Idyllwild’s Juried Member Shows; was Guest Artist and received the Blue Ribbon at the juried “Art Fest” (Charlotte, NC). Her images have been published in Life Images Magazine, in Inland Empire Magazine, Best of PhotographyMagazine, New Mexico Photographer Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and more. Her art has been sold to numerous individual collectors nationwide and abroad.
Kathy is a certified sound healing practitioner, Reiki Master, certified crystal energy healer, light worker, a professional classical flutist, award-winning poet, and author of “SUFFERING to THRIVING: Your Toolkit for Navigating Your Healing Journey.” She has appeared in Yoga Magazine, Best Holistic Life Magazine, Authority Magazine, MindBodyGreen.com, Elephant Journal, Kindred Spirit UK Magazine, Woman’s World Magazine, and close to a hundred top-rated podcasts. She appears on the cover of, and is profiled in, The Wise Women of Idyllwild by Judith Corinne Way.
She has dedicated her life to her spiritual path and learning the healing arts and mystical wisdom of many world cultures. Kathy is a shamanic practitioner who has studied with Puma Freddy Quispe Singona, Roel Crabbe, Jane Burns, Sandra Ingerman, and several sound and energy healing masters. She also walks the path of the ancient lineage of women frame drummers.
Kathy lives, works, and dreams in a peaceful and enchanted mountain forest, in the charming village of Idyllwild, named one of the top 100 small art towns in America (in John Villani’s book of the same name), with her husband Ken, an award-winning writer, director, and filmmaker. Ever since she was a young girl, she has enjoyed photography, painting, sketching, collage, travel, writing poetry, snorkeling, gardening, and hiking in forests, deserts, and beaches.
